This page explains how lamureclinics.com uses cookies and similar browser storage, and why.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser to remember information between visits. Related technologies (like browser localStorage or sessionStorage) work similarly but aren't always classed as "cookies" in the legal sense.

2. What this site actually uses

Website analytics — we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is designed to work without cookies and does not track you individually across sites.
Booking and staff sign-in — the booking and admin systems use your browser's temporary session storage (cleared when you close the tab) rather than cookies, so nothing persists between visits.
Payments — when you pay a booking fee, you're briefly taken to Stripe's own secure checkout page, hosted on Stripe's domain. Stripe may set its own cookies there under Stripe's own cookie and privacy policy, separate from this site.

3. Why there's no cookie consent banner

UK/EU cookie law (PECR) requires consent before setting non-essential cookies — things like advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. As set out above, this site does not currently set any non-essential cookies of its own, so a consent banner isn't required. If that changes in future (for example, if we add advertising or marketing tracking), we will update this policy and add a proper consent mechanism before doing so, not after.

4. Managing cookies in your browser

Even where a site doesn't require consent, you can always view, block or delete cookies through your browser's settings. Note that blocking cookies on third-party pages, like Stripe's checkout, may affect your ability to complete a payment there.
